Smitten Performs for the COHA Butterfly Effect Event at Falcon Ridge Farm

Sunday was a perfect summer day for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association Butterfly release fundraiser. This annual event saw the release of 650 Painted Lady butterflies brought in from Vancouver that people had purchased to set free at Falcon Ridge Farm.

Smitten was hired to perform the music for the event. We began the festivities at 10:00 am with an hour of light acoustic music ranging from Simon & Garfunkel's The Boxer to Everything by Michael Buble while people arrived and took their seats beneath the beautiful pavillion. When the time was ready for the participants to get their butterflies, we began to sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow / What A Wonderful World" (IZ version). Once the butterflies had been released, we sang John Lennon's beautiful song "Imagine".

After the release, we continued to provide another hour of music while the participants enjoyed the grounds and said their good byes.

It was a real privilege to be a part of this important and meaningful event here in Kelowna.
